Taryn M. Howard

Taryn Howard, Founding Partner of MINERVA Consulting, brings over 30 years and a wide cross section of experience to every engagement. Her proven successes in managing client services, operations, marketing, analysis and technology for many of the industry’s leading global banking and investment management organizations produces pragmatic recommendations with a high degree of confidence. Taryn’s approach when consulting with clients is comprehensive and balanced…insuring success in terms of both the underlying business objectives involved and the organization’s ability to execute.

With her experience managing both line and staff groups, Taryn has been on both sides, and understands how to translate goals into action. Some of her specific skills include the ability to review and analyze business processes, identifying their relative efficiencies or inefficiencies, and a pragmatic business perspective on use of technology.

While Taryn’s primary area of expertise is global financial services, she has also served clients in the not-for-profit, hospitality, healthcare, local government, and communications industries.

Taryn earned a Bachelor of Arts cum laude from Union College in Schenectady, New York and a Masters in Business Administration from the Stern School of Business at New York University.


Suzanne E. Hale

Suzanne Hale has 25 years of experience encompassing brokerage, institutional acquisition/disposition, lending, and corporate real estate. She spent 4 years in institutional commercial lending, handling the acquisition and asset management of properties for MetLife including office, retail, hotels, warehouse, and multi-family properties. As head of construction lending for 7 years at Provident National Bank’s southeast region, she grew the region portfolio from $110 million to $460 million in only 18 months.

Her career also includes more than seven years with AirTouch/Verizon Wireless, where she headed negotiating the acquisition, zoning and implementation of more than 600 telecommunications sites and switching centers. As a result, she was named one of the top real estate zoning experts by the Cellular Telecommunications Industry Association (CTIA) and appeared on many real estate panels and became the official spokesperson for AirTouch to present on-air issues and print interviews with publications that included The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Wall Street Journal and numerous industry publications.

Most recently Suzanne has provided due diligence services to the FDIC on problem bank portfolios throughout the Southeast; as well as, loan workout services for community banks from Maine to Florida; and, commercial real estate loan portfolio acquisition/disposition services for private investment groups throughout the country. Those services include portfolio analysis, creative workout solutions and foreclosure management for more than $500 million in assets.

Suzanne is a charter member of the Atlanta chapter of Commercial Real Estate Women (CREW), a licensed RE Broker in Georgia and a recognized expert throughout the Southeast on a wide range of real estate issues.


Karen Bond

Karen focuses on converting business strategy into high-performance technology enabled business systems, particularly during periods of change, using her extensive change management, program/project management and service management experience.

Her worldwide experience in managing enterprise business planning, large-scale organization change, business service management and delivery, and engineering projects, across multiple clients in multiple industries, makes her highly qualified to lead clients through the challenges of doing business in today’s changing economy.

Karen earned a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Auburn University and a Master of Business Administration from Georgia Institute of Technology.
