Taryn Howard, President of MINERVA Consulting, brings nearly 25
years and a wide cross section of experience to every engagement.
Her proven successes in managing client services, operations, marketing,
analysis and technology for many of the industry's leading global
banking and investment management organizations produces pragmatic
recommendations with a high degree of confidence. Ms. Howard's approach
when consulting with clients is comprehensive and balanced...insuring
success in terms of both the underlying business objectives involved
and the organization’s ability to execute.
Her most recent responsibilities creating and implementing a Client
Management function for a global asset management leader, demonstrates
the breadth of her abilities in delivering value to an organization
with a focus on client impact and causal effects of internal activities.
With her experience managing both line and staff groups, Ms. Howard
has been on both sides, and understands how to translate goals into
action. Ms. Howard’s specific skills include the ability to
review and analyze business processes, identifying their relative
efficiencies or inefficiencies, and a pragmatic business perspective
on use of technology.
While Ms. Howard’s primary area of expertise is global financial
services, she has also served clients in the not-for-profit, hospitality,
healthcare, local government, and communications industries.
Ms. Howard earned a Bachelor of Arts cum laude from Union College
in Schenectady, New York and a Masters in Business Administration
from the Stern School of Business at New York University.
Robert Hill has more than 20 years of experience in the international
financial services and management consulting industries. An entrepreneur
at heart, Robert is also the founder of a variety of start-up ventures.
As a consultant, his primary focus is new business creation, market
strategy and product development. Over the past 10 years, he has
led a range of strategic and new business initiatives for some of
the world's largest financial services organizations — a client
list that includes AIG, Kemper Insurance, American Express, The
United Nations Joint Pension Fund, The Capital Group and Ameritrade.
He is currently leading an effort to build a professional services
organization that unifies independent consultant practitioners throughout
North America. Mr. Hill brings a healthy blend of consulting and
hands-on industry experience to each of his client engagements.
Having spent 10 years on the inside as a market strategist and product
champion with Bankers Trust Company — in both the US and overseas
— Mr. Hill knows how to build consensus up, down and across
diverse, multi-cultural organizations. His client management skills
were honed at Bankers Trust as well, where he served as a Sales
& Client Relationship Manager for a mix of Fortune 500 organizations,
across multiple industries, in both the US and Europe.
While Mr. Hill’s primary area of expertise is global financial
services, he has also served clients in the endowment, foundation,
publishing, media, sports marketing, commercial real estate, software
& online employment industries.
Mr. Hill earned a Bachelor of Arts from Bethany College in Bethany,
West Virginia, and a Masters in Business Administration from the
University of Pittsburgh's Katz Graduate School of Business.
